The 366 Sports team has come together, for the first time this draft season, to bring to you the first NFL Mock draft of the season. With their reasoning and analysis, the Cincinnati Bengals are on the clock!
With the first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, The Cincinnati Bengals select : QB Joe Burrow, LSU

Dan : The Bengals make the easiest pick of the draft and take their franchise QB in Joe Burrow.
With the second pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Washington R-Words select : EDGE Chase Young, Ohio State

Manil : There have been many rumors about the Redskins giving up on QB Dwayne Haskins and taking Tua Tagovialoa or even Joe Burrow if the Bengals pass on him, but ultimately new HC Ron Rivera and company go with the defensive monster in Chase Young.
With the third pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select : LB Isaiah Simmons,Clemson

With the fourth pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the New York Giants select : OL Jedrick Wills, Alabama

Matt : We all know Dave Gettleman wants Simmons but Detroit snatched him 3rd overall. I tried to trade back but both Miami and Los Angeles were content with getting one of Herbert or Tua. Forced to stay put, I grabbed the best tackle in the draft. Wills is the type of guy you build a whole line around and he should do right by QB Daniel Jones for years to come.
With the fifth pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select : QB Tua Tagovailoa

Kaleb : #TankForTua was a trend at the beginning of the season, you’d be out of your mind to say that the Dolphins aren’t all in on the ‘Bama QB. They may have to trade up to get him if the Chargers, who pick right after them, are in on Tagovailoa as well. In this spot, the Chargers didn’t move up and the Phins weren’t under any stress to move up.
With the sixth pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Chargers select : QB Justin Herbert, Oregon

Kaleb : Nobody actually believes Tyrod Taylor is the Chargers future for more than like, eight games this year right? Herbert is the ideal replacement for Rivers as far as style of play goes, and Herbert even provides a bit more mobility. The upside is real here and I wouldn’t be surprised if Herbert is the starter by week one with a strong pre-season.
With the seventh pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers select : CB Jeffery Okudah, Ohio State

Elsio : Jeffery Okudah is by far viewed as the best cornerback prospect in this class. The Panthers defense struggled mightily last year, and with the versatile Isaiah Simmons eluding them, the Panthers go with the next best thing, an elite corner prospect to add to the secondary. Okudah looks like he can be a difference maker and the Panthers will happily take him at seven.
With the eighth pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals select : OT Andrew Thomas, Georgia

Matt : Kyler Murray has the weapons, now he just needs time to throw the football. Andrew Thomas gives Murray exactly that. He’s a plug and play tackle year 1 and a starter on your line for the next decade.
With the ninth pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select WR Jerry Jeudy, Alabama

Dan : The Jags take the best receiver in the draft in Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy. He gives them a playmaker on offense that they simply don’t have and he gives QB Gardner Minshew a bonafide weapon.
With the 10th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select : OL Tristin Wirfs, Iowa

Matt : Fancy weapons
New coach
Now get Baker some protection. Wirfs is either going to be a really solid tackle or the best guard in football.
With the 11th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the New York Jets select : OT Mekhi Becton, Louisville
Elsio : Some Jets fans may prefer to see the more “sexy” pick of a wide receiver here, but let’s face it, the Jets has one of the worst lines in football last year. They have a promising young quarterback in Sam Darnold to protect, plus they invested lot of money into free agent running back LeVeon Bell, so opening up run lanes for him might be in their best interest. Becton is going to be the fourth tackle off the board but he’s a big talented guy that can anchor the left side of the line and set the edges for the offense. While a Ceedee Lamb or Henry Ruggs may be more exciting, Becton is a better long term investment for the future.
With the 12th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders select, WR Ceedee Lamb, Oklahoma

Elsio : The Raiders have the potential to create an elite offense. With play-making tight end Darren Waller, and young promising running back Josh Jacobs. But what do they lack? A true explosive play-maker on the outside, enter Ceedee Lamb. Lamb is a guy I could see the Raiders trading up for or rushing to the stage within 30 seconds for at 13. Lamb adds a lot to this offense and looks to be an NFL ready receiver.
With the 13th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers select : WR Henry Ruggs III, Alabama

Elsio : The 49ers acquired pick 13 from the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for DeForest Buckner, why not use this pick to improve the offense? Ruggs is a true speedster wide that flew up boards late into and even after the college season. The 9ers lost Wide Receiver Emmanuel Sanders to the Saints. I see Ruggs replacing Sanders without a hitch. Him and Marquise Goodwin could combine to make potentially the fastest WR duo in the league, and adding a guy like Ruggs may help bring about the breakout of all time legendary (this was an addition by Kaleb) quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
With the 14th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select : CB CJ Henderson, Florida

Manil : With their QB problems seemingly solved and Tampa officially going into win now mode, why not address the putrid secondary that ranked dead last? Henderson and Fulton aren’t that far off, so the Bucs take the local Gator.
With the 15th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos select : DL Derrick Brown, Auburn

Matt : Steal. This was a steal. Brown is one of the best players in the class and he fell right into Denver’s lap. IDL is a need with Harris, Gotsis, and Wolfe all not on the roster right now. Need and talent align for an excellent pick.
With the 16th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons select : EDGE K’Laivon Chaisson, LSU

Dan : The Falcons take one of the most well-rounded players in this draft in K’Laivon Chaisson. He is very solid against the run and the pass and he gives the falcons a true weapon to help out their defense.
With the 17th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select : CB Kristian Fulton, LSU

Kaleb : The Cowboys lost their superstar CB in Free Agency with Byron Jones cashing in with the Miami Dolphins, an immediate replacement is much needed and Kristian Fulton can fit right in to the Dallas defense and hopefully provide SOME of what Jones did in his time with the Cowboys.
With the 18th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select : S Xavier McKinney, Alabama

Kaleb : You could maybe see the Phins going and taking a WR to pair up with Tua. The defense is a project though. With pieces like Kyle Van Noy and Shaq Barrett and aforementioned CB Byron Jones, it’d be smart to add onto it by taking the top safety in this class in McKinney who will become an instant starter on the Miami roster.
With the 19th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders select : QB Jordan Love, Utah State

Elsio : Maybe viewed as a curveball here, Vegas looks to bring a new face of the franchise into their new city. They’ve shown support to Derek Carr, but no doubt will improve if possible, and Jordan Love falling to pick 20 is that possibility. Love is a guy that saw a rise in draft boards this year. He’s a guy that has the size, the athleticism, the arm, and now? The weapons. What better way to break into the Vegas lifestyle than with a hot young quarter of Jordan Love, Ceedee Lamb, Darren Waller, and Josh Jacobs?
With the 20th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select : EDGE Yetur Gross-Matos, Penn State

Dan : The Jags get Yetur Gross-Matos who is a bit raw but has a ton of athleticism and talent to become a very good pass rusher. He’s a great scheme fit and he could replace Yannick Ngakoue when he’s likely traded in the near future.
With the 21st pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select : WR Laviska Shenault Jr., Colorado
/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/66531740/usa_today_13644853.0.jpg?resize=600%2C400&ssl=1)
Manil : The Eagles have a starting WR group of 30 year old Alshon Jeffery, 33 year old DeSean Jackson, and Greg Ward Jr. They need help at WR BADLY. In a deep receiver class, they could theoretically afford to wait, but why do that when receiver is by far your biggest need?
With the 22nd pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select : EDGE A.J. Epenesa, Iowa
/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/66098968/usa_today_13843432.0.jpg?resize=600%2C400&ssl=1)
Manil : The Vikings had to cut Everson Griffen as a cap casualty, and fully intended on bringing him back, but it’s been a month since the Vikings cut him and recently he’s broken off contract talks with them. AJ Epenesa can help fill that hole and play across from Pro Bowler Danielle Hunter. Although the Vikings could use another receiver to replace Stefon Diggs, whom they traded to get this pick, but unlike the Eagles, the Vikings have more pressing needs. Such as addressing the defensive line.
THERE’S BEEN A TRADE! New England has traded the 23rd pick to the Tennessee Titans for pick 29 and Tennessee’s third round pick.
With the 23rd pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans select : DL Javon Kinlaw, South Carolina

Matt : Moving up and grabbing Kinlaw, especially after trading Casey, seems too good to be true. The Titans stopped the fall and add a day 1 starter to that defense.
With the 24th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints select : WR Justin Jefferson, LSU

Manil : Drew Brees is 42, and seemed to have declined towards the end of the season last year. The Saints have a stud in Michael Thomas but not much else outside of that. Promising receiver Tre’Quan Smith never really took that next step into being a perennial pro bowler for Brees, so the Saints look for another receiver in a deep WR draft.
With the 25th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select : CB Trevor Diggs, Alabama

Manil : Before free agency, this pick would have reunited two brothers on the football field, but now the Vikings replace Stefon Diggs with his younger brother. Xavier Rhodes regressed from one of the top corners to arguably the worst corner in a few short seasons, and Trae Waynes was grossly overpaid in free agency. Mackenzie Alexander also joined Waynes in Cincinnati, leaving a big hole at CB. The Vikings look to the draft to address their secondary.
With the 26th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select : LB Kenneth Murray, Oklahoma

Kaleb : Let’s give Kyle Van Noy a partner in crime with his new team, Kenneth Murray is going to be perfect to pair up with him in Miami and you can expect big things from the Flores defense for years to come as the offense takes the back seat the first round.
THERE’S BEEN A TRADE! The Seattle Seahawks trade pick 27 to the Baltimore Ravens for pick 28, and Baltimore’s fifth round selection.
With the 27th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens select : LB Patrick Queen

Dan : Baltimore trades up one spot to take LSU LB Patrick Queen who is an absolute stud. He is an athletic linebacker with great instincts. He is a true game wrecker and someone who could quarterback your defense for years to come.
With the 28th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select S Antoine Winfield Jr, Minnesota

Elsio : Winfield is a fast riser, the son of a legend and a safety who excels in both coverage and tackling. I see Seattle falling in love with Winfield.
With the 29th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots select : S Grant Delpit, LSU

Manil : Many people have concerns about Delpit’s tackling and believe that he should not be a first round pick. Belichick is known for taking talented players overlooked by teams like Delpit. With the Seahawks selecting Antoine Winfield the pick prior, Delpit falls squarely into Bill Belichick’s lap and gives the Patriots an elite free safety prospect that can take over for Devin McCourty once he retires.
With the 30th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers select : WR Tee Higgins, Clemson

Kaleb : I’m not convinced the Green Bay Packers have a number two to go alongside Davante Adams. Tee Higgins could immediately fill that role. With the LBs left on the board not being worth the first round pick and no suitable offers to trade down, why not bolster Aaron Rodgers weapons a little more with Higgins?
With the 31st pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers select : DT Jordan Elliott, Missouri

Elsio : Elliott is a guy that has seemingly risen up boards following the combine. Elliott is considered undersized but he’s a guy with tools that any team should look for. His length is excellent and he’s shown the ability to penetrate and fill gaps. He’s not exactly a replacement for DeForest Buckner, but that’s not what the 49ers need him to be. Elliott fits what the 49ers want.
THERE’S BEEN A TRADE! The Kansas City Chiefs have traded pick 32 to the New York Giants for their 2nd, 4th and 7th round selections.
With the 32nd pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the New York Giants select : EDGE Julian Okwara, Notre Dame

Matt : Desperate times lead to desperate measures. Giving up a 4th hurts quite a bit but this team needs a pass rusher. Badly. And this just feels like a Gettleman move. Trade up and reach for a solid prospect in a position of need (see Baker, DeAndre). I’m not in love with Okwara the prospect but if you can put him in spot where he can use his burst and bend to get after the QB, you’ll be quite happy with what he’ll do for your team.
