Folks, here we are again. The New York Giants are the laughing stock of the NFL after getting absolutely obliterated by a team full of backups on the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 36-9. It was an absolutely pathetic display of football put on by the New York Giants who are undoubtedly a bottom two team in the entire NFL.
I hate to be the one to break this to you but there’s literally nothing to be positive about after watching that game.
Daniel Jones? He looks awful so far and he doesn’t seem to be a franchise quarterback at all. His play may be playing the Giants into the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes.
Saquon Barkley? That ship has sailed and the number 2 overall pick in 2018 has been wasted. To be fair, it was always a horrid pick due to the fact that the running back position has no value.
Evan Engram? He’s totally worthless and he was never worthy of a first round pick.
Our wide receivers? They’re all horrid except for Darius Slayton.
The defense? It’s still at minimum six starters away. Maybe more. Nick Mullens just lit them up for 36 points.
There’s only one man that can save this team but I don’t even know if I’d want to subject his poor soul to a career with this miserable franchise who have went from being the class of the league to perennial bottom feeders. That man’s name is Trevor Lawrence.

Either way, it’ll be a miracle if this team wins three games this season. Things need to change now. It would be great if the Giants started that change by firing General Manager Dave Gettleman. That would at least give us something to cheer about.
Until then, all we can do is hope that better days are ahead even though the future looks very grim right now for the Giants.
