WNBA Betting Picks July 9, 2021

We had a nice little 3-0 sweep on Wednesday in the WNBA. Both the Sparks and the Lynx covered for us in the original post here. Then at half time during the game, I jumped on the Mercury 2H +9.5 and they ended up winning the match outright in overtime.

Our posted record improves to 16-13-1

I have three more picks in the WNBA today:

Sun -13.5 (-110)
Storm -6.5 (-110)
Lynx +6 (-110)

All of these are plays from the model, but I agree with them today (I don’t always agree, but I always ride with it.)

The Sun were embarrassed by the Fever last game, but they were on their fourth game on the road in 7 days. We were actually on the Fever last game, but now we are going back on the Sun. The Dream’s third best player Chennedy Carter was suspended for this game. She was averaging 14.2 points per game and 3.3 assists. Since the Sun have had the week off and have been able to rest, and the Dream’s locker room is a mess, we will be jumping on the Sun here today.

The Mercury are coming off of a big overtime win against the Aces. However, I believe the Storm are miles better than the Aces even though they are close in the standings. The Mercury should be fatigued here after playing 39+ minutes each the other night. The Storm also have Breanna Stewart (the best player in the league, maybe all time.) You cannot stop her. Plus her supporting cast is better than what the Aces had. Storm -6.5 on the Road.

The Lynx +6 is strictly a play from the Model. It honestly believes this game should be closer to a pickem. So we ride and #TrustTheModel.
