2022 NHL Trade Deadline Recap

The most wonderful time of the year has come and gone once again. The NHL Trade Deadline has finally passed. On a day that most NHL fans shut down and consider to be a national holiday, it is the last chance for teams to make a push for a Stanley Cup run. For those teams near the bottom of the league (like my Chicago Blackhawks), it also is an opportunity to retool and rebuild by acquiring assets for the future. No matter what team you support, all hockey fans can be found glued to their devices monitoring the transactions throughout the day. Moves are constantly made all day up until the 3:00 pm EST deadline, which is when all pending trade calls need to be reported to the league office.
