Hot Takes New York Giants NFL NFL Draft Team News Where We Stand

Final Injury Report: A “New” Injury For This Oft Injured Giant

Final injury report is in (per Dan Salomone), and comes with both good/bad news plus “worst” news…

Good news: Our starting QB is going to play. Daniel Jones has no injury designation.

Bad news: His backup was not so lucky. Tyrod Taylor is OUT due to concussion protocol.

CB Cor’Dale Flott (calf)=OUT
WR Kenny Golladay (knee)=OUT
DL Henry Mondeaux (ankle)=OUT
LB Azeez Ojulari (calf)=OUT
WR Wan’Dale Robinson (knee)=OUT
QB Tyrod Taylor (concussion)=OUT
WR Kadarius Toney (hamstring) =OUT
DL Leonard Williams (knee)=QUESTIONABLE

NOW… for the worst news. Once again, Kadarius Toney will once again be absent. Don’t be fooled by the injury label though, because this one is “new”. His other hamstring is now what is preventing him from joining the action. Per Brian Daboll, Toney injured his other hamstring while practicing Thursday and was originally on track to play before this new “injury” took place.

I’m all for being patient and rooting for a guy’s success, but it is starting to become a tiring act. I would imagine time is running out on this talented receiver’s welcome with the NY front office. One can imagine the final grain of sand has already fallen from the proverbial hourglass in many fan’s eyes as well.

How’s everyone feeling about this “new” injury?
