Giants 1st round pick Evan Neal left the game yesterday with a knee injury. An MRI today confirmed that Neal has a grade 2 sprained MCL. It’s a big sigh of relief from Giants fans as it could have been much worse.
Generally, a grade 2 MCL sprain keeps a player out 2-4 weeks. The Giants face the Seahawks this week and then have a bye next week. Neal could potentially be back November 13th vs the Texans. That would only mean 1 missed game.
It’s more likely that Neal misses 3 or 4 weeks. If the Giants hold Neal at 4 weeks, he could be ready for the Giants match up on Thanksgiving vs the Cowboys.
