Folks, it’s something that I’ve been waiting to type for a long time. The Giants are able to rest some of their starters because they have the playoffs wrapped up already. Multiple Giants stars are out against the Eagles on Sunday.
While I have advocated that the Giants rest their starters earlier in the week, it’s nice to see that it’s actually happening.

Players who are not going to play against the Eagles this week include Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley, and Adoree Jackson. Players like Andrew Thomas, Dexter Lawrence, and Kayvon Thibodeaux may only see limited action.
While multiple Giants stars are out against the Eagles, this game is not meaningless for everyone on the field. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor once again has the chance to prove himself as an NFL caliber quarterback after injuries have derailed his last three campaigns.
When it’s all said and done, the Giants are making the right call by resting their starters. The only thing that is important is gearing up for the playoffs and taking on either the San Francisco 49ers or Minnesota Vikings next week in the wild card round.
