Mel Kiper Mock Draft 1.0: Giants Add a Wide Receiver

Mel Kiper, the most loved or hated draft analyst, has released his first mock draft. That means it’s draft SZN. If you have mock draft fever, Dan put out his first mock draft yesterday.

Kiper has the Giants adding USC WR Jordan Addison.

Addison caught 59 balls for 875 yards and 8 TDs last season. Addison transferred from Pitt to USC before the 2022 season. In 2021 with Pitt, Addison had 100 catches for 1,593 yards and 17 TDs.

Addison dealt with a knee injury all year that hampered him all season. He missed 2 games and parts of an additional 2 more games because of the injury.

Addison can run every route in the book. He played both inside and outside during his collegiate career and only had 2 drops on 62 catchable targets this season. He’s a stud.

When it’s all said and done, I’m not sure Addison will make it to pick 25. WRs are becoming a premium position and Addison is really good. I think it’s more likely he rises up draft boards during the pre-draft process.
